.260 and Varget

Ive been researching .260 loads, seems H4350 is the "go to" powder for most.

Anybody use Varget? If you so what bullet weights are you putting on top and what kind of velocities/performance are you seeing?

I fully plan on trying both H4350 and Varget for myself, just trying to get more duckies in a row before I have to start shooting.

Varget with up to 123 IMHO. H4350 for anything bigger.

Can run Varget with bigger bullets but your velocity will be lower as you'll pressure up before getting to velocity possible with H4350.

All I have on hand are 123 Scenars right now, so good to know. I have a slow twist (1:9) so likely wont venture past 130 grainers.

I would think Varget would be allright, more so with the lighter bullets I would think. I use H4831SC in my .260 under the 142 SMK.

When I shot the 260 I ran H4831 with 142 SMK. It is a great combo.
I would leave Varget out of any heavy bullet recipe too.

I have good luck over 115 with Hybrid 100V

H4831SC and H4350 would be my choices. I don't think you would need to look any further but thats just me. Good luck
