.260 rem AIAW barrel needed

Im wanting to go the .260 route on my AW after witnessing the superiority the 6.5 has over .308 first hand at last Saturday's match.

Since I have the whole barrel change kit for my AW, who can I purchase a barrel outright from that does not require me to ship them my rifle. I would have gone the full custom route if I had to ship my rifle every time I wanted to change barrels. One of the reasons I went AW.

Moon at GAP built my last bartlein and it was a work of art, but as I understand it most places are now requiring the rifle for proper fitting.

I'd also like to know this for an AE Mk III. I told myself no more .260's but....

GAP only needs it once, then they keep the headspace on file for the future.

I got mine from AINA about a year ago. I think Dave Tooley can make one for you too. Would like to hear more about this as I bought an AI for that very reason. I'm tired of shipping rifles off.

Since moon cut me an AI barrel in the past do you think they kept what they did then on file. Or I could just ship them my .308 barrel instead of the whole rifle.

My understanding(which could be wrong) if Moon cut you a barrel for this particular AI Rifle, then they should have the headspace on file.

Poison is correct. They only need it once.

They might even have a Bartlien in stock. If not, check bug holes.

AINA will ship you a precut and chambered barrel as well.
