260 Rem feeding from 300WM AICS mag?

I've got a Savage long action available and I'm thinking about using it for a build...but I likely would want to use a 260 Rem barrel.

While CDI has a special-order Savage LA DBM that uses short-action 308 magazines, I'd likely utilize their standard Savage LA DBM that uses 300WM AI-pattern mags for future flexibility

I'm curious if others have done this and if so, how 308-based cases feed from them.

Bulding one now as a matter of fact.

Before going down this road I stuffed 6 rounds of 308 in a 300WM 5 round magazine (+1 yeah). There is more than enough spring tension to keep the rounds from shifting which was my initial concern.

The magazine lips need to be formed (bent in) but thats a simple task.
