260 Rem precision load

The .260 had a vast pool of data established well prior to the creedmoor showing up.

The easy button is any 139-142 bullet your barrel likes over 42-42.5 gr of H4350. You could Sub RL16 for H4350 at the same charge weight(I like 16 better). Start at 40gr and work up in half grain increments.

This, you can’t just plug in a magic load in and expect to get lucky.
There are known ranges and SS listed them and I agree with him on R16 but H4350 is still fantastic.
A lot depends on your brass and chamber variant as well.

I’m really liking 130’s in my 260 after wearing out a few barrels with 140 and 147’s.

Does h4350 and/or r16 do well in cold weather?
H4350 is great for temp swings, and RL16 is every bit as good. I shoot both in freezing temps and have never had an issues regardless of the cartridge or primer type. Only negative to 16 is it isnt as dense as h4350. So at the same charge weight it takes up a bit more space in the case.
