In the process of working up some loads for a T2K in 260 Remington, 24" barrel. Since my chronograph is dead, I'm a bit in the dark with what velocities I'm seeing and wanted to get some real world data from another member here to shed some light on things. Also, since it appears that I'm up against the ceiling in terms of pressure in what appears to be a very conservative load, I'm a bit confused. The second load, while not too close to max, was showing signs of high pressure. Any info would be helpful.
The load that appears to be nearing high pressure:
123 Lapua Scenar, 36.5 grains Varget, Rem case, Fed primer, seated .010 jump. Temps in the 90's. Slightly heavy bolt lift, primers slowing a hint of pressure. Very accurate load, just wanted to know velocity estimates as I expect it's fairly low.
The second load, while somewhat hotter by the book, is showing more pressure than I am comfortable with- very sticky bolt, flattened primers, ejector marks.
Lapua 123 Scenar, 43.5 H-4350, Remington brass, Fed primers. Same seating depth
as above, .01 off the lands.
