I decided to test the 2 that I have a 6.5 grendel, AA barrel 18.5 inch, it shoots .4-.5 MOA and this new 264 LBC

so I built another in 264 LBC, 18 inch barrel from Midwayusa, shooting 123 Hornandy 6.5 Grendel ammo it also shoots .5 MOA
both are 1.8 twist
result is no difference they shoot pretty much the same
here is the new on .264 LBC

FYI for those wanting to use Burris Ballistic plex, If set on 11 power the 6.5 G 123 grain is spot on out to 300 yards, will get it out to 400 next week

I like that idea. Might have to do that myself since the only flash hider possible is the AR stoners which is sharp on the end and don't like it.

Re: 264 LBC done

whats your loads and velocity you are getting from them? I have a AA barrel and make uppers/guns in the .264lbc and have pretty different results in the two. Just curious as what others are getting with their load and what they chrono it at.

Re: 264 LBC done

+1 for velocity from your 6.5 Grendels.

Just did some comparisons between my AA chambered barrel from '05 or '06 and a customers 6.5 Grendel barrel for load development. Huge difference in freebore dimension, can make both shoot in the 0.5 MOA range but load data is quite a bit different.

130 Norma @ 2450 fps showing fair bit of promise thus far from a 24" barrel.

Re: 264 LBC done

The AA website has what they are calling a "economy" round for sale for a limited time. The round is a 115 grain Berger HPBT in Hornady brass. Selling for about the same as Palmetto's Hornady ammo. I have no affiliation, just came across what appears to be a good deal. My rounds are on order, so I can't give a range report.
