Got the old girl stripped down and ready to get sent out. I'm sending her out to Hart to be rebarrelled. Heard a lot of good things about them, so I'll update in about 8 weeks when she gets back to me.

Nice stock. I rebuilt my 300 wsm Win70 in a similar stock.

I finished the original and tried my hand at glass & pillar bedding it. The wood finishing aspect was fun & easy. (Link) The bedding project did not come out as well as I had hoped, so I ordered one fully finished from Boyd's and had Mark from Short Action Customs do the bedding work.

This is the CDI DBM for Post 46 Winchester Model 70 S/A. It has a 10 Round Morta Alpha Magazine. The mag is for the 300 WSM, so my 270 WSM fits it nicely!

Photo quality must have been set to econo on my camera....

Cool project and I like that it has a flavor a bit different than the majority of rifles here. I've got a 7WSM and they make for a cool little cartridge. Surely you will have a good time with yours.

Be forewarned--the 10th rd is a very tight fit.

The 7WSM is a nice round too. I have liked the 270WSM since I started shooting it about seven or so years ago. It's fast, and does every thing I ask of it.....

Picking her up tomorrow, and should have picks up by tomorrow night. The last the I have to due is finish the stock, and then mount my glass on top.

Sounds like a good project. I'm a big fan of the 270WSM. Hart did a 25/300WSM for me and it turned out great!

Nice build, I'm a big 270wsm fan, make sure you let us know how it shoots, I've been wanting to rebarell my 270wsm for a while now.
