I would like to use my crap tone of good 30 06 brass to feed the 280 AI build I am doing. What does it take for dies, fire forming, trimming? Any info would sure be helpful.

Expand necks (K&M Expandiron) to .32 or .33 caliber and full length size in the .280 AI die. That makes a false shoulder to headspace against when fire-forming.
OK, when I fire form, does the newly formed case need additional trimming? Or are we close enough to run as is?
I cant answer that question, but there are tools made to measure max case length. You can buy that little bullet deal that slides into the case mouth and chamber it then measure the max case length then compare that to your brass and you know exactly what your brass needs to be.
