So I’m building a 280 ai I have 280 rem brass to fire form at the moment I only have a neck die? I’ve always fl re sized my brass for every other caliber I’ve ever owned can someone tell me will neck sizing be fine or do I need to be looking up a fl die also what’s advantages and disadvantages of neck only?

You can’t neck size only in most situations.
You could get a body die and use it every 2-3 reload but without an occasional pass through a body die you almost certainly going to get tight cases and feed and/or extraction issues.

For the first few firings it’s would be fine as long as you’re pressures are normal.

There's a difference between the original 280 Ackley, and Nosler’s .280 Ackley. The Nosler (saami) version is shorter at the neck/shoulder. You may need to move the virgin case shoulder with a die to get the bolt to close properly. A small amount of crush on the standard 280 case is a good thing for case forming, but dont over do it. Go get the FL die.

Good point.
