I've been shopping for something to get my wife into the .30 cal platform, and I sprang for one of these. I know there are a lot of AR10 builds out there, and these days it may not be too hard to do a good job rolling your own. But, I've learned the hard way that "building" your wife a gun is like you "building" her a diamond ring. That won't cut it. It's got to be new and fully assembled in the factory box.
After about 200 rounds, she said she really likes it. She's put about 100 more through it since then. The muzzle break that comes on it seems to do a really good job because the rile out of the box only weighs 6-3/4 lbs and she says she has no problems with the recoil. All in all, it seems to have some really great parts on it. Although I'm a bolt gun guy, the times I've shot it, it appears to be a real tack-driver. I have no problems holding sub-MOA with it. And to date, no failure to feed or mechanical issues whatsoever with a variety of target ammo in both 168gr and 175gr BTHP loadings.
If your looking at getting into a ready-built 18" barrel AR10 platform, you might check these out.
