This was actually left in the Arms Room when I took over it in about '92. I don't really know how long it was in there before that.

Is it a handbook or a pamphlet? The Army has all kinds of little training publications. And, they did publications right down to company level, depending on what units you were in.

Could you get more pics of the inside if it's a pamphlet?

I forget what it's called, but every post has one. It's a media shop. They can make anything to order, books, posters, big signs, training junk, maps, you name it. We used to have a lot of shit custom made through there.

But in 2000's we'd started just using excel and word to make powerpoint presentations and discs to hand out to students at SDM school. No more books.

With the discs you can show the info in a presentation and then hand out the exact same material. Helps for "train the trainer" scenarios too. Since you DIY it and cut out the corporation, you can have naked girls every fifth slide to keep the soldiers awake and interested. Trust me, it works well.

I'm curious too about what's inside. Can you take pictures of that?

Couple more sample pics, it is just a 6 page pocket pamphlet. Ft. Campbell had a division level "Sniper School", it wasn't any thing like the school at Benning. In reality it was more of a Designated Marksman course, and you got a M24. In addition you were taken from your battalion and attached to HQ battalion upon completion, and HQ would send you to which ever specific unit they felt you were needed in. In light of that I think that maybe this particular pamphlet probably came from a program kinda like that, but I don't know for sure.

I find this topic quite interesting. Some history there.
I wish I had some stuff from a school I went to at Nha Trang[sp?] in 69., hence my interest in Connie Rodd and if she is still even around.

In my Bn, Every swingindick got one of her comic books on care and usage of the M-16 and most learned when they weren't fapping to the pictures. Some couldn't read but picked the message up from looking at the pictures. FM E 5/7 Cav 1st. Cav Div. 69/70
