My first trip was disappointing to say the least after hearing how awesome the 5r shoots.First trip was with the cheap tasco and factory trigger so I felt like it was holding me back.So I decided to put my Leupold vari-x III 4.5-14x50 and timney trigger on it and give it another go.

I took 4 loads with me:
77 gr. MK BHA
69 gr. MK BHA
55 gr. V-Max Hornady
53 gr. V-Max Hornady Superformance

The 53 gr. seem to be promising and want to spend more time with them with the 77 gr. coming in second.

The 69 and 55 are grouping about like a shotgun so not sure what the deal is with that specially since most have good luck with the 69 in the 1 in 9 twist.

I shoot 5 shot groups 100 yards with a fairly warm barrel as I was shooting pretty quick. Here are the 2 best groups I had with the 53 and 77.This is all factory ammo and I know the gun is much more capable then what I have done so far so take it easy on me as I am probably not up to your standards.

Well I traded a TC Encore 300 win mag for this gun so since it is used the guy before me broke the barrel in.Im not sure how man rounds are down the tube but it is a blast to shoot.I don't have much trigger time as far as rifle shooting so it is defintly a learning process.

got some vertical dispersion in there. Perfect practice is key and those groups should tighten up. I suggest buying online training on this site. it is well worth it to learn the fundementals correctly.
