3 gun comp

Please let me know or feel free to move this post to the correct area if I am wrong.

I am new at shooting 3 gun, and I'm looking for advise to use on the range. Anything from clothing to tactical gear or even optics. I'd like to cover pretty much all the bases if possible.

I have been addicted to it for a long time, just finally have the means of doing it competitively.

I will be running a Nikon m-223, with sure fire RTS for optics. Thanks for the link, but that's out of my price range right now unfortunately.

If anyone is near Houston, I'll be at the match on feb 11 out near sealy.

having been involved with 3 Gun for several years, and a match director for the past 2 years i get this question often.
my advice is to run what you have now, dont buy anything but ammo. go to the match and start looking and talking about gear, see what works for people and see what does not.
dont be afraid to talk to people and ask questions, you will get plenty of opinions.
then start your own research!!
