What are the specs on this rifle? I'm wanting to convert a 700 adl and this one caught my eye.

This thread is full of awesome. I love the 30-06 and will probably undertake building up a proper LR gun once I am done with my 2 shortaction projects and the 280rem savage 110 I am building.

I think I'm going to have to steal the 308 long magnum name.

Or go euro and call it the 7.62 Long Mag, the 7.62 Springfield or the 7.62x63 if you want to go eastern block.

I just won a gunbroker auction for a Remington 700 rifle that is sporting a 26" Shilen barrel, and a custom stock that is fully action & barrel bedded... Picked it up for a nice price, and I cannot wait to get it. Looking at these uploaded images, can anyone tell if the barrel contour looks like a Varmint contour of some kind?
