I'm planing to build 30-06 shooting flatline bullets.
I'm just wondering does anyone have any experience with 30-06 shooting flatline bullets? Planing to shoot 1500-2000 yards targets.
Benefits barrel life not much of recoil.

I love me some 30-06 , but in your application keep in mind that light loads in .300WM with light loads will give you the same benefits and if you ever want to stretch it out you will have the option to go hotter. I actually have a friend who worked up a .300 WM load to duplicate the 175 FGM .308. He never plans to buy another barrel.

Talk to Josh, they did the development of a 30 cal flatline with the 06. I can't remember what weight it was but I've had this conversation with Josh a year or two ago. I wish I still had the one he built me and tried them out. Don't listen to the naysayers, the 06 loaded long with modern powder and brass can realy sling some weight out there.

Yeah I gotta agree.RL26 is your ticket

I have been shooting 30-06 for several years now as my LR rig. I shoot 1k very regularly. A lot of that has been with the 195gr tmk at about 2720fps.. just recently had it rebarreled and chambered with the serengeti “bore rider” reamer. So far looks very promising. I just got a box of berger 200.20x’s that im wanting to try with rl26. Should be a nice combo... don’t have any info about solids but you should not have an issue shooting a mile +... whats your elevation?
