Last time I spoke with them, they had some big construction going on? I guess they need more room to put more machines in to make bullets?? Lets hope so anyway!!!

Don't forget that this can be a double edged sword. We put pressure on them, IF they respond and ramp up prematurely or out of schedule, then they get out of their comfort zone or routine and we possibly don't get the quality we expect. Hate to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Will a 208 at say 2350fps buck the wind better than a 178 amax at 2530fps? I have a shorter barrel and am looking for different bullets at the moment, I am torn between the 175 nosler and 170/185 lapua offerings.

Run it through JBM with those velocities and a .633 G1 and a .475 G1 respectively. That will tell you no doubt what gets pushed around by the wind less.

I found the .648 advertised BC to work fine for me, but it only amounts to .25moa difference at 1000 between the 2. You're not likely to notice the difference unless you have the ability to hold that, and your ES on your load is in the predictable single digits.

I just read on another forum that there was a rumor that federal was considering no longer making primers in order to pursue those big military contracts. It sure seems that reloaders are taking it in the shorts all the way around. Hope they pull their heads out before they lose lots more customers.

I asked Hornady for some data , this is the reply .
"Steve we have data for the 308 win but dont have data for the 30-06 spr. with the 308 win. using varget powder min charge of 34.9 and a max charge of 40.0 and a COL of 2.800 Thanks "

Wow, they only go up to 40gr of Varget?? Shoot, my load of Varget and 208's is 43.3gr, however i'm loading long.

Have had them on backorder since the first week of June with delivery expected as quoted.
Then a member from PRK says he got his from Midway and posts them for sale here

Didn't they have some sort of Explosion at their plant? Oh no wait....that was Nosler and we can still get those?

BTW. This thread inspired me to look around my little town and I found 400 208's at the local robber baron's shop for $37/100. I will sell them for $16,000/10....OK kidding, but I got them never-the-less
Anyone run them with RL-22?

I LOL'd quite loudly. Looks like i'm going to have to be making a switch to JLK 210 LBT's if available. I'm afraid to call.
