30 Caliber Bullets

Don't rule out a scope that's went to hell. I've seen guys chase shots and run through tons of rounds only to find out their scope had gone south. I have an lr-308 with a 24", 1-10 twist barrel that shoots anything between 150grs and 178 grs well, but it does prefer the heavier stuff. Mine especially likes 178gr hornady a-max's in LC cases, over 41.5 grs of IMR4064, with a CCI 34 primer.

I was just cleaning it and noticed the scope is off level. I did install it with a EXD Enginering scope lever. The cantilever mount is a Stoner from Midway Arms. It was torqued to the right specs. Scope is a LR 17 USO. Next I will lap the mount

I've been having the same problem. I've ran the gauntlet on bullets from 147 gr up to 190 gr and cant get below 1.75 moa. Next step is trying some different powders to try and get the barrel harmonics to match up. Ive been using Varget and re-15 but need to try some faster powders and see if that helps. If not, then it's new barrel time! I've tried 2 different scopes as well and same results. Good luck!!

Not trying to be rude... but have you ever shot a large frame AR better than what your getting now?

Gas guns are notorious for being "difficult " to shoot.

You have tried all the usual ammo its either you or the gun.

Have some one else that shoots one well try it.

Few things we still havent resolved...
Can you or have you consistently shot large frame AR's less than 1" before recently?
Have you had someone else shoot it to rule out operator induced issues?
How many rounds on the barrel?
Has it ever been shot crazy hot? It's a gas gun so gotta ask.
Gas Block and tube correct?
Correct bolt?
