Just started loading flat based bullets like 110 vmax and 125 SMKs. They are pretty tough to seat as I have to carefully place the bullet in the mouth and hold it while slowly pulling the lever. Does anyone bell the mouth of any rifle case? I don’t see a lot of options for 300 BLk other than a Lyman die.

Nope I just use a lyman combo debur tool.

I belive they call it a vld .

I run 220g rnfb and they are long I do hold them up till starting in the die.

This champher is long taper and works well for me.

I also load fb 223 bullets and do not have to hold them any since not long.

I chamfer the case mouths with jacketed bullets and flared when shooting lead bullets, either bare or coated.

You can also try a larger expander ball. I use RCBS because the expander balls are able to be swapped. RCBS will send you a 7.62x39 expander. Try it as is and crimp or you can chuck it into a drill and reduce the OD of the expander.

    That is good news.

2 things. Get the Dillon 30 Carbine powder die. It will put a touch of bell on the case making it much easier to seat bullets.

As much as it pains me to suggest it, the Lee collet die for the 300 Whisper/Blackout is awesome.

I load a lot of 300 Whisper/Blackout subs using Gallant coated bullets on my 1050 and more precision orientated ammo on my 550. When I made these two changes, all my problems went away. Now I am back to cheap and quiet full auto mags dumps.

If the chamfered doesn't work well enough, bell the case mouths slightly with a cheap lee universal expansion die. Had to do this with 22Hornet and (thin) Winchester brass. Worked like dream.

I only slightly flare when loading the heavy 265 DS Special. F.L. resize then LEE collet die for cast coated or jacketed pills. Neck tension is everything with consistant subs as they are less forgiving with slight loading errors.
