Looking for some load data for a starting point, i just put togeather a 16" carbine lenght gas system 300 CMMG Wasp and im wanting to run the 125gr ? supersonic and a 220gr Sierra or maybe something lighter Subsonic! so any help would be great, links or what ever would help. I would like to try H4198 because i have a load of it but will get what ever works best for both bullet weights.

Re: 300 blackout help

In my 300 BLK with 16" 1:7.5 I shoot 220gr RN Sierras subsonic with 10.5gr A1680.

Re: 300 blackout help

Im using 18.2 gn of H110 with the 125 gn ballistic tip & 10.6 gn of A1680 with 208 gn amax. Dont know the AOL off the top of my head. If needed i can get it tomorrow.

Re: 300 blackout help

Here is a post on 300 BLK from last year. He was using 175SMKs with good results. 300BLK load I am waiting on my form 1 so I can try it out. The 175 SMKs can be found here on the hide as pulls for great prices.

Re: 300 blackout help

A1680 seems to be the best universal powder, but I've used H110 with lighter bullets. Check out the 300blktalk forum for lots of good info.

My subsonic Pet Load

Sierra 220 SMK
Fed 205 primers
11.3 grains of A1680 powder
Case length 1.358
2.089 COAL
about 1010 fps for 16" barrel

Re: 300 blackout help

Thanks Guy's, Keep it coming. Ran a few thru it today with the 125gr TNT's up to 17grs of H4198 for a supersonic load, to cold to set up the chrony but everything from 15.0gr up to 17grs ran perfect and locked the bolt back on last round in mag. gonna have to check for accuracy/speed after it warms up a bit, so far it looks like A1680 is the powder of choice for Sub's with the Heavy's.
