I have done some searches and didnt see any posts, but has anyone tried loading up the 300 BLK with the 240gr SMK (rather than the 220)? On paper, it would seem to be a great way to go, load it with about 11.6gr of 1680 instead of 11.2gr (for the 220) and you will get the same velocity with a lot more kinetic energy. I am just wondering if this has been tried and there is some issue with maybe stabilization or trajectory issues that could cause a baffle strike. Anyone who has tried this or heard of this, it would be great to get some info. I need to order bullets to load up some more sub rounds, but I cant decide if I want to go with tried and true or something new.....
