Anyone have any load data for 300 blk with cfe blk for 168 or 175 smk?

What has me wondering is why you are not looking up this data yourself. This is extremely low level stuff man.

For AR or bolt gun ?
If AR what barrel length and gas system ? Buffer weight ?

Subsonic or supersonic?
First of all, if you’re experimenting with subs, ditch the CFE BLK, it’s the shittiest powder, loud and dirty and terrible velocity SD/ES.
VV N120 is probably the best, cleaning powder.
N110 and N105 is even better depending on your gas port size and location, especially with heavier subs (200gr+)
If you can’t get VV powders, AA9, IMR 4227, lil gun, H110 are okay substitutes.

For heavy supersonic, 150-175gr, then AA1680 will be your best bet, although CFE BLK will do okay. I use 1680 with the new Speer 150 GDHP, great accuracy both on the AR and R700.

For bolt gun subsonics, for 150-200grs go with VV Tinstar. It’s a fast bulky powder, gives you 85-95% case fill and very low SD/ES. It’s also way cleaner and quieter than any of the regular powders because you don’t have to worry about generating gas to cycle the action.

Agree, just figuring out where people are at.

How does n110 work for subs 220gr?

Works great for me. But n110 is a faster powder than 1680 or CFE BLK so you're on the edge of reliability for a typical 300blk gasser.
If you have a can, it'll help a lot, otherwise it might still work depending on your GB port size, BCG and buffer balance. My 10" Noveske has no issues now that I use a JP SCS with the tuning kit and Faxon Low mass BCG. Stock I couldn't get it to cycle reliably with those fast powders unless I used heavy SMK 240s and run them in the 1080fps range. Now I can run Lapua 200gr with 8.3 gr @ 2.15" OAL and still be in the magic 1000-1020 FPS range and hold the bolt on last round.

For 220 GR with N110, start at 9.0-9.5gr and work your way down to 8.0-8.5. I prefer to be in the 980-1020FPS range but some people like to be in the 1040-1060 range, it really depends on your outside air temperature. Obviously a good chrono is a must when loading subsonics.

For supersonics with CFE BLK:

Well it'll really depend on your COAL, because AA1680 and CFE BLK don't mind being slightly compressed but you'll have to watch for pressure sign.

168 SMK @ 2.18" 19.2 - 19.7 -> Be careful 19.7 is max book load.

175 SMK @ 2.18" 17.8 - 18.4 -> 18.4 is max load.

You can play a little bit, try loading them at 2.22" and see if they feed and cycle fine, it'll allow you a slightly higher charge and lower pressure.

Lots and lots of guys on 300blktalk have played with 1680 and CFE BLK for heavy supersonics so might want to take a look at their experiences.

Excellent info, thanks!

I wanted to hear what other people's experiences were with this combo if it was worth even trying.

Hmmmm, ok.

Assuming I believe that’s what you intended, your question was clearly “anyone have any load data”, not “what other peoples experiences were” with this combo.

I’m not trying to be argumentative with you, but a poorly worded question, or a response to a poorly worded question in a reloading forum could easily lead to you blowing your shit up for not doing your own homework.

I should have worded better, agree.
