300 NM twist rate question

I'm building a long range hunting rifle and have decided on 300NM. I have a manners EH1a. Defiance deviant hunter LA 750 bolt face. Im planning on useing a Proof research 26" Sendero . What would be the optimal twist rate for running the 215 and up?

Most do just fine with a 10 twist, I had mine done in an 8 twist and it shoots great. Not sure if it's any better than a 10 or 9 though

I would go with 1-8 or 1-9

Seems like 9 is pretty popular but the 10's stabilize the 230s just fine from what I've seen.

I tried 9.4 twist 26 for 215 it was ok but my 24" 1/10 way more accurate.. both proof research..unless the other smith is better than the other.or jgs reamer (30° improved 156 fb )is better than the ptg 35° 235fb.

I'm guessing you meant .750 bolt not bolt face. NM needs a .590 face, larger than standard magnum.

I’ve got a 1:10 twist on mine and shoot 225 gr Hornady and 230 gr Bergers extremely well! Can’t say that the 1:8 or 1:9’s would improve it much if any for mine.
