I have 300 wm action and a extra NF scope. Was gonna build a 300wm but then started looking around and 300 Norma caught my attention. Have not found too much info on the round so I figured I would get yalls input.
300 norma should I do it?

My opinion if your are going to go the route of a big 30cal just go with a 300RUM...from what I have found online with the NORMA (which there isn't that much) balistically they are pretty even and RUM ammo is easier to find and it is an absolute hammer. Great round.
Mine is throwing 210 bergers at 3160 and I could push them faster but no need.

Have a very long range to play at. My 300 Norma is launching 208 A_MAX's at 3100 fps with E/S of 8fps. Shot some 220 SMK's at 3185 fps while looking for a powder. I feel the 220's will work better at 3050 fps.
I did my load work up at 400 yards and now is quite boring, and the 208's are dimpling my AR-500 plate!

Couldn't agree more I have 700yd a range, and even that is boring with my RUM.

Thanks for the input, My buddy just gave me full access to his property that I can easily shoot 2000 plus meters. Have any of yall actually shot a 300 norma? I wanted some input from some people that shoot with it, what exactly they like or dislike, maybe get some loading info, etc. I do appreciate the input so far.
