Because you don’t understand what you are measuring. I suspect you are trying to describe a muzzle velocity, but the words you use relate to chamber pressure.

2900psi wont send the projectile terribly well at all, any decent powder load is likely going to generate more than 55000psi.


instead of asking why you cannot reach 2900psi, why not describe in detail what you have done and how you measured the results.
