im happy with my 300rum sendero. shooting 210 bergers 1000yds is easy.

2000 yrd capabilities on steel and probably further with the right gun and the right shooter, is that good enough?

I'm pushing the new 230gr Berger target hybrids at just under 3000fps

I have a 700P in 300 ultra mag...it shoots the 208A-max very well. We have shot it out to a 1000.. we are hoping to make it to a mile next trip to the range...

If you like muzzle blast , recoil, and short barrel life , it is a great long range caliber. I own one and I like it, but it is not a very practical high volume round.
If you are just getting started in long range shooting, I would encourage you to consider something that is more practical to practice with,like 308, 260 ,223 ,6BR,etc.
If I am off base and you are an experienced shooter with plenty of money for powder , barrels, and bullets then light her up ,it is a great hunting round.It is only surpassed by a few 30 caliber rounds such as 30 378 Weatherby.
