300 ultra mag build....bottom metal question

I just got a wild hair....have an ultra mag sitting in a BDL bottom stock right now. It's the stiller predator action w Wyatt's box. Thinking of swapping to a DBM. What's your thoughts or recommendations? Will the 338 lapua bottom metal and mag work in a long action DBM stock; say an A5 stock for DBM? I want the longer cartridge capabilities being I shoot the 215 and 230s stretched out. Thanks for any help

Thanks for the reply. I did some research and found that lapin bottom metal does fit any long action. Only concern is the longest mag they have for bottom metal that I could find was like 3.790 cartridge. I need approx. 3.850 to work. I ddon't know if a mag could be modified to make that cartridge length work??
