Just got my new .300 win mag build done. Barrel is a 1:10 broughton 5c #5.75 contour. With brake it's 31". Was thinking I could push the 215 hybrids close to 3,000 fps and the 230's 2950 fps or so.... Anybody shooting a broughton in .30 cal??

I pick up the rifle friday morning. It's a trued Remington 700 action bedded in an hs precision stock. I wanna say it's a Vais brake. Webbed finish. A man named Don Geraci built it for me and I've seen what his rifles can do shooting f t/r. My buddy jade shoots one of his builds and if he doesn't win he comes in 2nd. Never placed lower than that. Not sure how to post pics but I'll be happy to email you a pic Friday when I get home. Don said he guranteed 3/8 moa. We'll see!!

With that length barrel I'll bet you could get the Berger 215's close if not to 3000fps. Try a nice slow powder like H1000 or Retumbo and ladder it up.

Appreciate it and will do. Ive got lots of goodies to play with. Retumbo, h1000, r22, h4350, 250 pieces of brand new rws brass, 200 215's , just ordered the 230's. Got 300 of them, 900 208 amaxs....... The components are there just need 1 day at the loading bench and some good weather..... I'll post what the 215's are running by Monday in the reloading section.

Picked up the rifle this morning and it looks great. 32" overall barrel!!! Heavy, but that's what I wanted. The actual barrel is 30" with a 2 " shrewd brake. He made the chamber TIGHT. Cannot wait to see what kind of speed and accuracy it is putting out.
