300 Win Mag Barrel Length

I have two new hunting rifles on order. Mainly for whitetail, but will also be used for elk, africa plains game, mule deer, etc. Both have 26" barrels and I'm looking to cut them down a few inches, so that adding a silencer wont make it unbearably long and heavy. Does anyone have experience with bolt guns in the 20-22" range. I'm not looking to go below 20", and would be looking for MOA or better accuracy. Also what ammo have you used with those barrel lengths. I have a case of Browning BXS 180 grain solid copper ammo that I'm hoping each rifle likes.

I had an extra 24” X-caliber Pre- fit cut down to 21” and it’s been great. Velocity loss was relatively mild, about 50fps with two different handloads. This is my fifth win mag barrel and I don’t see my self going past 22” on another.
