I know that this subject comes up over and over, but does anyone know why they discontinued such a popular caliber?

I saw a post a year or so back indicating they "do not have intentions" of producing it in the future.

Any of you looking to dump some Lapua as you are headed in another direction (Norma, etc.), please let me know.

I am determined to get my hands on another 100 - 200 pieces or so before I go off in a new direction my self...

Thanks,

Where do you buy RWS?

I know several 1000 yard bench rest guys. They all seem to be happy with Winchester and claim that there is no need to pay more.

I bought some winchester and it was disturbing just how "rough" they are out of the package. It was really hard for me to end the night with "quality" in mind. They cleaned up with some work, I tossed several due to creases that were just over the top...

Thanks for the input!

Re: 300 Win Mag Lapua Brass

Ive been trying the Hornady brass, so far soo good. Been happy with its function. I have noticed a few earlier than normal loose primer pocket issues but I believe thats been my fault pushing my pressure limits as of late. Anyone else try the Hornady yet?

In terms of case life I've had good results with Remington, however it is pretty inconsistent compared to Lapua but fine for hunting with.

Stumbled upon a box of 100 Lapua last year in a store - it had been there so long they didn't have a price on it and couldn't even find one so they let me have it for a steal. Needless to say I nearly ran out of the place before they realised they'd charged me about a 3rd of what they could of.... Will start using it when I rebarrel.
