Disagreed. It depends on the application. For target/competition your are correct, but for hunting applications you are wrong. I've used a 300 WM for hunting and found 165 to 180 gr. to work best. I don't shoot at game beyond maybe 400 to 450 yards maximum, and even then the conditions must be perfect before I consider breaking the shot. At normal maximum range you cannot prove to me that a relatively faster and lighter bullet will not shoot flatter than your heavy's, assuming equivalent load accuracy. I used 150's with great success too.
