I have an established load with h1000 and want to do bergers seating depth test to see if I can get some more accuracy out of the load. Right now the load is safe but on the upper end of acceptable as far as pressure. It’s .010 off the lands now, should I back off charge weight before doing this test and if so how much. I’m at 78.5 gr of h1000 now. Thanks.

Only if you are planning on jamming it into the lands. I would try .02 .03 and .04 off and see what happened.
1. .010 off the lands (jump) 6 rounds
2. .050 off the lands (jump) 6 rounds
3. .090 off the lands (jump) 6 rounds
4. .130 off the lands (jump) 6 rounds

I did a seating depth with the 210's in 300WSM. One of the 6 tests had 5 shots go into the same hole @ 100 yards. It was impressive.
