Yea it's no big deal I have a 40x single shot in 300 win mag and not having a single shot mag device really isn't an issue since 300 wm is not going to fit in to a short action mag box
Yes, I know of the 40X single shot.
Having a repeater action, I am curious if there is any hitch with using a detatchable mag . Loading or extracting. Something needs to be in the floor I would guess.
Perhaps if a glitch was present, a mag could be modified to provide an appropriate "floor".
Also would removing the ejector be helpful?

Sinclair/Brownells sells a machined aluminum plate that was captured between your follower and the bottom of the receiver to act as a single shot feed tray.
