I got in on the LRI group buy. I have a Rem 700 LA that is getting a Bartlein med palma 1:10 barrel installed. I have never messed with bottom metal or chassis systems. I am considering putting this gun in a Manners mini chassis or maybe a Mcree. Obviously I want to feed this gun from a mag but I am worried about projectile selection and oal. LRI needs to know what I want to run in the gun. Will I have enough room to run a 200g vld in this setup??? Or should I go a different route.

I also need a muzzle brake for this gun. Any suggestions??? LRI said they have a "in house" brake, does anyone have any input on those. Thanks for the help.

For the .300 Winchester Magnum, the cartridge overall length of the factory 190 grain Federal Gold Medal Match is about 3.325" and the factory 200 grain Nosler Accubond load is about the same length.

The inside "length" of the AI detachable 300WM magazine is about 3.645", and works pretty good with bullet weights up to about 208/210.

Hit up the reloading section of the forum. Guys have listed COL's for about every 300WM bullet weight available. Question is, what is your throat on your rifle set at? Are they setting you up for a specific bullet/load or just a standard chamber? I think Wyatt's makes a magazine that is a bit longer than the AI's if you need extra length and the action will accept(but don't quote me). Best of luck with your build.
