I need help figuring out what ammo to shoot. Would like to have the most accurate, out of the box ammo for long range shooting and deer hunting. I understand certain guns shoot certain ammo better than others. Well....I can not afford to try a bunch of different types of ammo. I have a FN 300 WSM with vortex pst scope.

I have been shooting "Federal Premium Barnes Triple Shock 165 grain. Gun shoots it fine but I can't find any and when I do, it's about $67.00 for a box of 20. Only have had the gun for about a year, and that's the only ammo I have tried. Should I just buy a bunch of this ammo or try something new? Does anyone have a similar set up? Need help. Thanks

Just found out that Remington just bought Barnes from Federal. Guess that's why it's so hard to find. Any suggestions?

You don't want to use a premium hunting bullet for long range shooting, hell, i wouldn't use Barnes for either, too damn expensive. It'd probably be cheaper to buy a starter reloading kit and go from there.

Ok thanks, any advice on where to by a beginner reloading kit and what to buy? All new to me. Thanks
