Hi,

Here is a picture of a group at 300 yards off the bench. Nothing fanastic, but wanted to share anyhow. Still kind of new to this distance. Rifle is a custom built bolt action .308 on an AI chassis. Total round count was 11. Couple of flyers!

According to the forum rules, I believe pics of 1 ten shot group is acceptable.

Nice job. Other than the flyers you've done very well. BUT flyers still count haha. Thanks for sharing. What was the final grouping measurements?

Re: 300 yard target pic

Didn't measure the final group, but the Shoot N C is a 3 inch circle.

I just read the group shot rules again and I see that this picture is still against the rules. Mods are looking for 10 shots on 10 1/2 inch dots spaced 2 MOA apart at 300 yards.

My range technically doesn't allow multiple aiming points on a single target frame, but I will see what I can do next time.

Thanks for looking!

Re: 300 yard target pic

i think you need to reread the rules......i understand it as 300 or more yards is 5 shot min on target anything over 2 moa at the yardage shot is a miss....i see you target as 9 maybe 10 shots (can't tell where 6in would be)

you also have to show unedited target

i think you good with what you posted...if not i'm sure it will be corrected

good shooting

Re: 300 yard target pic

Ebby,

Thanks! I think the gun is capable. I am using a Nightforce 12-42X56 scope with NP-2DD reticle. I built the rifle for the tactical matches at my range which are shot at known distances.

I currently loading 168 grain SMK over 43 grains of Varget. Cartridge OAL is 2.817. I am using Lapua and Federal brass and Federal large rifle primers.

At 100 yards, I can easily shoot one hole groups off the bench. At 300 yards things become a bit more difficult. I am shooting off the bench at 300 yards, but I am also trying to master shooting prone which is pretty challenging for me.
