300WSM 7mm WSM case and barrel life?

How many loadings can I get out of a 300wsm and 7mm wsm case?

with my 270 wsm some of them split after 2 firings even with anealing.

Will throught errosion be faster in 7mm wsm than 300 wsm??

how many rounds are you guys getting out of your barrels in these calibers before they drop off in accuracy?

hmm you are doing something wrong if you are only getting two firings per case. I have run a true 7WSM for over 6 years now. I get over 8 firings per case, annealing after the second firing. I have never lost a case to splitting at the neck (not that I recall anyway). My cases get recycled when the primer pockets get loose. During this time frame I have burned out two barrels one one rifle and an additional barrel on the other rifle. My chambers are NOT loose; they are tight, custom chambers, which may be why my necks last a long time. I run on average total clearance of 3 thou (1.5 thou per side) in my chambers.

I got roughly 1,100 rounds out of my first dedicated f-Class rifle barrel, but that one got run VERY hard. the brass was toast on that one after 6 or so firings. The barrel before that went roughly 1,600 rounds for dedicated F-Class use.

I got 1,850 rounds out of a mixed use rifle with 26" barrel that eventually became my F-Class rig.

Can you guys tell me what I should be looking for on my 300wsm brass to tell if its good for another load or not. it gets black on the neck and wont come off in the tumbler.

how are you annealing your brass?? What does your neck diameter on the brass measure after firing? What does it measure after sizing?
How are you sizing your necks?

I am anealing the brass using a set of instructions from handloader magazine. I use tempilaq 750degree and a propane torch. I put the case in a deep well socket placed in a drill and rotate the case while held in the torch flame untill the tempilaq changes color, then toss into water.

As for the measurements ill have to get back as im at work and dont have those numbers with me.
