Can I put a .308 barrel on my M70 in place of the 300WSM? If so is it a direct swap and will the factory blind mag etc. work? Any replies appreciated. Thanks.

You can put the 308 barrel if its properly chambered,but the 300wsm bolt is a magnum the 308 bolt fasce isnt as big as the 300wsm.if you have an extra bolt youll be right into 308 otherwise need to buy a 308 bolt.

Sell it and buy the .308. In the long run it will be cheaper. The feeding of the WSM is different also.

To summarize, you will have to modify:
1. Bolt face (Best to find a .473 bolt and replace.)
2. Extractor
3. Feed rails, you will most likely have to use a detachable magazine.
