Range Report .308 - 1 in 10" twist...

I've had great success with the Nosler CC 168 BT but that's as light as I've went. My 1-10 Criterion likes the Berger 185 Juggs best but will shoot 168-190s fine. Bullets have been scarce for the last year or more so I've used what I could find.

I don’t see you having that big of a problem, they may not shoot as tight as your used to with heavier bullets. Then again you may not see a difference at all. I too have not run anything lighter than 168 in my 1:10 twist and my 1:12 shoots the 155’s fine.

FWIW and I know it's 30-06 but the M1 Garand was designed to fire a 150 FMJ flatbase projectile out of a 1/10 twist 24" barrel and they shoot a projectile just fine.

I'm actually building a light bullet .30 cal right now, and Boots Obermeyer suggested a 13 twist for 168 and 175, as does Berger. He said he's gone as slow as 14 with 190 Sierras.

Speaking of 30-06, Boots said,
"The 10 twist in the 30-06 came from the 1890's and the 30-40 krag shooting 220's. They never changed the twist until after WW2 and the .308 came out."
