I'm starting load for a TRG-22, to get the magazine to feed all 10 rounds my COAL for Nosler Custom Competition 175gr. is set at around 2.700", OG at 2.065"

I'm loading Varget, even at only 43.5gr it will crunch powder.

Few questions:

1) TRG-22 .308 shooters, what is your COAL using .175gr bullets (SMK, NCC, AMAX) so it can feel reliably from the magazine
2) If you load longer than 2.700" COAL, are you able to smoothly feed all 10 rounds from the magazine?
3) I see most loads in the reloading depot set their COAL at 2.800" +/- with 175gr. bullets. Since I'm compressing powder with 43.5gr Varget, will I run into any pressure issues if I load to 2.700"?

All the 2.700" COAL load information is usually with lighter grain bullets at 150gr or less.

If anyone can offer any advise it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you for your comment.

In researching further seems quite a few people are able to feed from their magazine with a 2.800" COAL. Next question would be those who do load to cartridge length at 2.8 or over, are you able to cycle all 10 rounds from your magazine?

Anything past 2.700" COAL my first few rounds get chatter marks on the bullets feeding, and it is pretty stiff to chamber.
