308 AR barrel ??s

In your opinion are the M110 barrels too heavy for MOST civilians?
They are apx .975 under the HG, .875 Gb and .800 out front.
There are many different uses for 20" barrels but if YOU could design a 20" 308 barrel what diameters would it be?
I am not asking for your opinion on what I should use but what may be the most popular contour for a 308.

I would want .750-.800 under the handguard,.750 gas block, and .740 at the muzzle

First point to consider: .750 gasblock
that is the most popular and available gasblock.

behind the gasblock: .850ish is pretty normal

I like that profile, I think that is what Armalite uses. I don;t know why one would want to change gas blocks on a Knights but .875 GB are not hard to find. I have a .875 PRI adjustable on my rifle and I had it in a day after ordering.
