We all know that a rough suggested AR15 maintenance schedule, as far as what parts usually wear out when and when to perform preventative replacement of high-wear items is a pretty easy thing to get a hand on. There are a lot of guys on here that shoot .308 ARs, for everything from work to pleasure, competition to hunting, SBRs to long, bull barrel precision rigs, carbine length to rifle length gas, etc. I have several thousand rounds through mine, and haven't had any issues, but, based on round count, experience, and things that have worn out/broken on your guns, what are some suggested preventative maintenance schedules you guys have come up with? What setup do you have, and what style of shooting do you do? (carbine classes vs precision stuff, and surplus/steel/match ammo I imagine would all impact speed of wear.) Is there anything published by the military for the SR25? I would imagine that action springs and extractor parts wear out noticeably faster than they do on AR15s.

Re: .308 AR Maintenance Schedule

I have only had my Fulton for about 1 year and only have
500rds though it. Heck it is barely broke in. So far no probs with anything at all.

I typically don't do preventitive maint of parts but I would think the extractor would be the first to wear out. At least that is what was first on my match rifle AR15 after about 4000rds..

Sorry I am not much help...
