Gunsmithing 308 Brake

I bought a break for a 308 would it be possible to install it on my 7mm-08? Thanks

depends on barrel dia at muzzle, you need .625 at least to install a 5/8x24 brake and really need more so it has something to tighten against.

yea, it just might not be as effective if it had the smaller diameter whole/bore for the smaller bullet passing through the Brake.
