I am building a 308 with a twenty inch barrel for deer and hog hunting and informal target shooting. I am looking at a flash hider to maintain my ability to see when shooting at a deer or hog during morning or evening twilight.
I am considering the following two flash hiders at Midway:
DPMS Flash Hider A2 5/8-24 Thread AR-10 LR-308 Steel Parkerized
Daniel Defense Flash Hider 5/8-24 Thread AR-10 LR-308 Steel Matte
I know that there are other good flash hiders out there, but I am only considering these two. I am leaning toward the DPMS because it is shorter than the Daniel Defense. Also, chea, Ah, more economical by a couple of boxes of shells. I will be using the rifle from a blind or pickup, so length is a consideration, all else equal.
Does anyone have experience with either of these flash hiders in low light conditions?
Thanks in advance.
