Just built an AR10 with a Rock 5R 16" barrel and need to work up 175gr Varget load for it. I see from other posts that 44gr to 45gr seems to be a favorite.

My question is what do the semi's like? Jammed or a bit of jump? Any crimp to prevent movement during chambering?

Any other advice to speed up the load development process would be greatly appreciated.

45.0 in LC worked well in mine. 43.5 was another spot. As BCP said work it up from 41-42 orzo and see what it likes. No need to crimp. Load to mag length. And go.
