Simple question before I go ordering more gauges....

Can you effectively use a .308win Go/NoGo gauge in a .243win?

They both have 40* Shoulders that start at 1.5598 according to the diagrams I am looking at. It seems like this would make the gauge contact the shoulder in the same location on the .243 as on my .308

Am I missing anything?

Indeed.

Yes. I looked at the print quickly, and it notes the angle as 40, but it was the sum of both sides.

Good thing too because I have everything I need to swap the barrel on the AE except. 243 gauges. However I do have my. 308 gauges.
