Application: paper targets at 600 yards and less. " hopefully longer one day"

Scope Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 mil dot. This is a brand new scope and needs a good bolt action rifle.

Option 1.) AI Mark 1 $3099 never fired
Option 2.) Kimber Advanced Tactical 308 $2000
Option 3.) FN A5M SPR $2500

My limit spent is $4,000 and under.

Option4) wide open for suggestions.

I've been shooting an Custom 22LR and now ready to move up and push my skills. I have a KAT 300WM, but after 30 rounds it's no fun to shoot.

Are there any gunsmiths on here that build custom rifles without the 8-month wait?

Re: 308 hunt

With that kind of budget I say for for option 4. Go buy a nice custom action (stiller, badger, defiance, etc....) and the stock of your liking (manners is my choice), and then a nice barrel. Then take it all to a good smith and have him build you a rifle that will be better then any of the first three you mentioned.
