Gunsmithing .308 in a M2008 Long Action

I've been lurking on and off for the past few years, and I am starting my first custom build, I've been shooting a m700 sps in .308 thus far. I want to start off with .308 but would like to step up .338 Lapua Magnum, when my skills are ready, without having to move to a whole new rifle.

Is it possible to use a Badger Ordnance M2008 LA mounted in an AICS LA with the AW mag mod, to run .308?

They do not make a long action version of the M2008 with a .473 bolt face.

A factory Remington 700PSS isn't too hard on the wallet. Wring that rifle out and then build your 338LM. Or, spend a lot more and get a switch barrel rifle like a Barret MRAD or DTA SRS.
