?.308 long distance precision rifle.

Im looking at the 700™ XCR Tactical Long Range anyone know anything about it good or bad? Is this god to start off with or should I buy a base model 700? Or just save my money and later on down the road get a nice precision sniper rifle custom built by a company like tacops, GA precision...etc
Then intended use is just recreational shoting and tactical shooting competitions.

XCR is a nice gun. Stainless barrel, good stock triggers, and a nice finish. It would be a good gun to start with.

get a 308 rifle (XCR is a good choice - you can build on that foundation later) of I don't care what brand and buy ammo and practice with it. When you have the money then you can buy an expensive rifle. If you want to pay money for anything put it into a scope that you can later transfer to the new tactical rifle. IMHO
