I know with 5.56 chambered rifles you can shoot 5.56 and .223 but not the other way around (unless .223 Wylde). I know .308 and 7.62 are interchangeable but is there any benefit to chambering for a specific one to be able to shoot both?
I should have probably just said regular 308 as I am not an expert to advice specifically on a 308 "match" chamber. What I can say though, is that as long as the reamer is good and not so worn, if the Smith cutting your chamber does it right, it will more than likely not shoot bad.
