going to be using varget, but i also have a pound of 4895 that i can mess with if there is a good pet load, but would prefer to stick w/ varget. couldnt find any data on the new hornady bullet and i got one coming.

i tried google, and i read the ENTIRE thread in the exterior ballistics forum and didnt see anyone talk about varget at all, at least not conclusivly enough for me to get a good starting load.

Use 175 data and start below max and work up. Will be fine.

JACQ i have never seen Varget give early pressure signs in any rifle... but every rifle is different

For 155 Scenars i use 46.3 Gr Varget in Lapua Brass with Fed210M primers.
For 175 SMK i use 45.0 Gr Varget in Lapua Brass with Fed210M primers.

I like Varget for my .223 and .308, with my 175 SMK's I ended at 45.2 grains. at 2725 average with RP brass and CCI primers.
I believe the area you are looking for, for reloading data is at the very top of the page in the Reloading section called "Snipers hide relaoding depot", it breaks down to specific calibers.

178 AMAX, Varget, CCI and Lapua brass...worked up from 42.0 to 45.0gr in 0.2 increments this week and saw no pressure signs. Loaded to 2.80 OAL. 45gr gave MV of 2720fps.
